About Guy Marshall

Guy Marshall grew up in the small town of Wadesboro North Carolina and attended North Carolina State University, where he earned a degree in Industrial design. His early design experience was broad, including stops at Ford Motor Co., IBM, and even vacuum cleaners for the Eureka vacuum cleaner Co. Marshall’s passion for sports and design came together when he landed a job designing basketball shoes for Adidas. He quickly became one of the most prominent designers in his field, crafting shoes for the company’s vast collection of stars. After a short run at Puma, Marshall went in a different direction, designing both casual and athletic shoes for Tommy Hilfiger. After four years with Hilfiger learning the nuances of the fashion business, he was recruited to the Frye Boot Company as their creative director. There he significantly grew their business, launching handbags, small leather goods and jewelry for the storied company.

Marshall initially opened his design consultancy in 2007 working with a number of great American brands including GH Bass, Izod, Ariat, Capezio, and Lucchese Boots to name a few. Today he can be found back in his NC studio in the woods, busy crafting the latest design strategy.
